Our individual colonial-styled cottages are built for comfort, and include shower, air conditioning or fan. View the early morning sunrise from your verandah or take the few steps to the waters edge for your moonlight promenade. Dining in our full service restaurant is always a pleasure. The fare includes fresh fish catches and local dishes as well as international cuisine, always accompanied of course by a selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The upstairs restaurant and bar overlook the sparkling turquoises of the Caribbean mere feet away. Lounge a while on the broad verandah, enjoy the locally brewed rums and beer, or our expertly mixed tropical cocktails, while letting your gaze be drawn by the swaying palms to the gentle surf of the barrier reef beyond. Out there is where you can sail or windsurf or snorkel or dive. Spectacular coral formations, schools of wildly exotic fish. Turtles, dolphins, manatee. Sister hotel to Cottage Colony, the Bellevue Hotel is situated on Belize City harbour. It was originally built as a family home in the early 1900s, the site being selected for its proximity to shops, government offices and other fine residences, and the direct access afforded by the harbour to the cayes. Today, almost a century later, that home has been operated as a hotel by our family for nearly forty years.

The Bellevue is still run very much like a home, with attention to detail and personalised service being our watchwords. Over the years we have catered to dignitaries, diplomats, businessmen, vacationers and even the royal family. All our rooms have individually controlled air conditioning, 55 channel cable TV, phone, bath or shower, and room and valet services.
