Didn't we use to take care of the elderly, the poor, the disabled and our veterans or did that all go out with this contrived war on terrorism...YOU HEARD ME...contrived... What ever happened to budget surpluses as far as the eye can see...OOPS...Bush and company has picked the treasury clean for themselves and their buddies...they want all of us to be responsible with our money yet they keep raising the debt limit and cutting services... One of the most decorated war heros, Col George "Bud" Day, attorney, Medal of Honor recipient, and former POW officially filed a petition with the United States Supreme Court on 24 January 2003 seeking justice for hundreds of thousands of live WWII/Korea era military retirees who were promised life-time health care. The Bush administration is fighting him in court... When Vietnam Veterans and Gulf War Syndrome Victims wanted to sue the U.S. companies who made the chemical and biological agents which caused their illnesses in the first Persia Gulf War...Bush fought them in court... Bush has cut funding for many Veterans programs and health care...Senate Majority Leader Frist (R) recently told Veterans that they needed to sacrifice their health and lives for the war on terrorism...of course he owns a major health care provider...this is just not right... Let your friends in the service know what this administration thinks of them... And then we have the climate of anger directed at the poor, the immigrant, the minorities and those who question just what all of these hoodlums in the Whitehouse are up to in our names...just look at the attack on the Dixie Chicks as an example...so what if one of them said they were ashamed of Dubya...the machine kicked into gear and artists like Toby Keith felt the need to put up a doctored photo of Natalie Maines with Saddam Hussein...see how they are willing to lie, cheat, steal and kill innocents and our children in countries far away to keep themselves in power...we saw it with McCain and Gore...we continue to see it with many others too... AND THESE BUSH IMPERIAL CLONES CALL THEMSELVES PATRIOTS? They say they love America but obviously can't stand Americans exercising their Constitutional rights, I offer these words from members of their own party:
"To announce that there must be no criticism of the president, or that we are to stand by the president right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public."
Standing up for what is right, honorable and good is never treason...it is an obligation as citizen of this nation and a right ordained by a higher moral authority... And what about those Compassionate-Christian-Conservatives? Practicing the teachings of Christ is much more difficult than just preaching what some think Christ meant by Love God and one another...I am sure that killing others in God's name is not part of the deal...no matter whose God it is...after all...Jews, Muslims and Christians all worship the same "One true God of Abraham"... I don't thump a Bible up against my enemy's face...I reach out my hand, I feed him, I cloth him, I shelter him, I provide medicine and schooling to him and I try to understand his beliefs, culture, religion and anger against my country...in short fixing what has gone terribly wrong... This is the role of the peacemaker... Not the Bush regime's version which is to push the world into Armageddon in a sort of born-again perverse self-fulfilling prophecy...definitely NOT Compassionate, Christian or Conservative...just plain ruthless, dangerous and evil...and the Shrubmeister's obsession with Saddam is diverting attention from domestic and foreign economic problems...Africa and South America are looking at revolution, civil unrest, bankruptcies and governmental collapses...not to mention starvation and disease... And what about at home? PUNCH THEM IN THE NOSE...PUT A BULLET IN THEIR HEADS...RUN OVER THEM WITH YOUR CAR...all 'ragheads' are the same...I have heard all of these statements lately from my fellow Americans. Of course let's not forget those horrible French...the ones who gave us the support to even become a nation to begin with...who gave us Lady Liberty...and now there is a movement to send her back to France? THIS IS PRETTY MUCH THE SAME AS THE TACTICS USED BY THE TALIBAN...OR THE FEDAYEEN...OR EVEN HITLER'S LITTLE BROWNSHIRTED GOONS...SO WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT THAN THEY...in this case many of the ones saying these things are supporters of Bush and that should concern everyone that believes in the American ideals of Freedom, Justice and Fairness... WE ARE USING CLUSTER BOMBS WHICH DON'T PARTICULARLY CARE IF THEY KILL MILITANTS OR KIDS...WE USED CS GAS JUST LIKE PUTIN DID TO KILL ALL THOSE HOSTAGES...WE POISON WELLS USED BY MILITARY AND CIVILIANS ALIKE...WE HAVE BEEN PLACING OUR TROOPS IN SCHOOLS JUST LIKE THE BAD GUYS DO...OUR TROOPS SHOOT CIVILIANS AT WILL OUT OF BOREDOM...OUR COMPANIES BUY YOUNG GIRLS AS 'GIFTS' FOR US TROOPS AND SUBCONTRACTORS...AND WE AS A PEOPLE DON'T SEEM TO CARE IF OUR GOVERNMENT AND OUR LEADERS ARE THE SAME ONES THAT CREATED ALL OF THESE BUMS, CROOKS AND THUGS AROUND THE WORLD TO START WITH...OR THAT WE FINANCED THEM...OR THAT WE SOLD THEM ALL OF THOSE TERRIBLE WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION...THAT'S DIFFERENT...THEY WERE ARE ALLIES THEN...THEY WERE GOOD TRADING PARTNERS...WHATEVER...AND NOW WE FIND OUT THAT EVEN THE REASONS FOR ATTACKING IRAQ WERE MADE UP...US TROOPS WERE PRESENT AT THE MASSACRES AND MASS GRAVES IN AFGHANISTAN...THIS IS THE REAL REASON THAT MANY IN THE WORLD NOW HATE US... This has got to be the most corrupt, secretive, licentious and contemptuous administration I have ever witnessed in my life and now it is dragging the whole globe into World War III with Dubya's latest slogan of the month "Armageddon, come hell or high water". There is a cure for endless and senseless warfare, Junior, it's called Peace...we need to stop exporting terror and WMD to all these third world dictators and scum...that is a good start in making the world a safer and better place...Dropping food, medicine and blankets, not bombs...digging wells, not graves...and building coalitions and shelters, not hardened bunkers in caves in Afghanistan covertly with India while giving or selling mines, biological and chemical agents and heavy weapons such as stinger missiles to the same people we now want to kill in that country and in Iraq... We are not one bit safer than we were a year ago...we are very much poorer as a nation though, in more ways than one...not every train car is inspected, or all shipping containers at the docks and the trucks...forget it...you can still walk across the border to the North or South at will undetected and unchallenged...airport security is still MIA and now many carriers are just going to go out of business...and all we have to show for this all...huge deficits as far as the eye can see and the largest and most invasive government agency the nation has ever experienced...and the actions being taken by this administration is truly making many very nervous...spying on citizens, no legal representation, apprehension and detention without any charges, rounding up folks and forcing them to get dangerous vaccinations, big brother type agencies to monitor every e-mail, phone conversation and letter and then there is my cuz, Dubya...Mr. Nintendo with a big red button at his disposal threatening half of the world with attack and alienating us from the rest of the more civilized countries daily...he is unifying isn't he...every nation is quickly becoming united against us... WE NEED A CHANGE OF REGIME RIGHT HERE AT HOME FIRST! This is why we need someone not from the DNC or RNC corporate candidate lists...that bunch have no spine and go along with everything the big contributors want...a McCain or Gore could win, but they walked away from the arena and didn't even take the time to say they got screwed by the Bush personal destruction team... We must not let the Taliban faction of the neo-con radical right in the GOP or the advisors in this corrupt regime filled with chickenhawks, pardoned criminals and cold war left-overs from prior failed administrations which gave us Watergate and Iran-Contra dictate this nation's foreign and domestic policy...or bankrupt the world's economy and march it into Armageddon...these folks are not real Republicans or even true Conservatives... Eisenhower Where are those kinds of leaders...the ones who say let's go to the moon by the end of the year...the ones who will stand up and push alternative energy sources as though our lives depended on it...the Arianna Huffingtons who say let's stop driving gas hogs because we have the technology to build vehicles which are more efficient today...the Molly Ivins who say when are we gonna get serious about creating new jobs in new industries here at home...where are the water wells being drilled, the farms being created, the microwave satellites coverting solar power to useable electricity to transmitt to all parts of the world...and when will we stop peddling weapons of mass destruction around the world...when, when and who will take the reigns...the real heroes, the real patriots and the true leaders... Being a patriot is more than just waving a flag made in China...it is understanding what the flag is supposed to represent...it isn't wearing the latest red, white and blue underwear fashions made by slave labor in South America...it is having the conviction to take the extra step and wear a uniform or go abroad as a citizen and doing good things in this country's name...not evil which cause others to hate our government enough to attack us...stuff which the "evil-doers" in this administration have done and continue to do... Blair rightly focuses on completing job in Iraq

In Washington on Thursday, British Prime Minister Tony Blair used a rare honor -- a speech to a joint session of Congress -- to make a compelling case for U.S. and British forces to stay the course in Iraq in spite of escalating guerrilla attacks. ''Finishing the fighting is not finishing the job,'' he said. ''We promised Iraq democratic government. We will deliver it.'' Story.... They may deliver "it" alright. If given the chance. A puppet ersatz democracy. Let them finish the job. Regardless of how badly the Iraqi people are robbed of their mineral and oil heritage by avaricious hegemonists and their shills. There will probably be enough leftover revenues used for building a decent life for the Iraqis, electricity, roads, schools, hospitals, sewage treatment plants, etc. And if the country is no longer considered a "terrist" country you should be able to go to visit archeological sites and people and other interesting things in Iraq. These considerations, what really matters to the non-elite classes of humans, are important. We did predict that the anti-war folks would get egg on their faces. They did and they will get more egg on their faces. This does not mean that the ultimate Bushie goal is not Armageddon. That ultimate goal remains. But think of what is to be written in the history books. In order to create and maintain a contrived moral high ground after the Holocaust, this rebuilding of Iraq is necessarily important.
