We used 3Space Publisher to open some models in .3DS format. We saved
the models in .3DS format and imported them into Bryce. After they had been imported
into Bryce, they could no longer be modified by changing the meshes. They could be
changed using Boolean operations with addition and subtraction of primitive objects.
That is clumsy. But it can be done. 3Space Publisher. What a fantastic application.
3Space Publisher will create VRML models in either VRML1 or VRML2 formats.
Bryce can import VRML1 format and use those objects in scenes for super landscape
renderings and animations. Models in VRML1 format may not work in many current (2002)
VRML browsers. 3Space Publisher also has a java based addition to VRML2 formatted
objects in such a way as to add animation to the resulting VRML models. We use
CosmoPlayer to view VRML models. There are two appearances for the CosmoPlayer interface.
